Six Searchable Newspapers from Crandon, Wisconsin Available Online

 Thanks to the Crandon Public Library for providing access to six local historical newspapers. 

The newspapers date back as far at 1850 and run at far ag 29051. They can be searched by people, place, and event; and can be limited by date. The archive can also be browsed by title or year.

Whether it is called "Shared Matches", "In Common With", or some other title, all of the primary DNA companies have tools that allow you to analyze your matches based on the groups that have DNA in common. At the State Archives, Josh manages the digitization of historical records for the award-winning Florida Memory program, and promotes the use of the Archives' resources statewide through community outreach.

First Germans--In the 1600s, a ship full of families escaping religious persecution headed to the shores of the New World which began a great migration.  If you think you know this story, think again!  These were Germans who fled to Pennsylvania on the Concord. A watershed moment in history that has been long forgotten, until now.  We learn about the political unrest and religious persecution which drove these cousins of William Penn to help found his new colony. Online Obituary Index Available Online for Frankfort, Illinois Area

 Thanks to the Frankfort, Illinois Area Historical Society, a searchable obituary index is available online. On the landing page you will find a search box to enter the name (first, middle, last) you are interested in. Before you dive into searching, however, take a moment to scroll down the page for more interesting information. Once you select your individual of choice from the hit list that is generated, you will be presented with information extracted from the obit.

Copies of the actual obit are not available online, but you can order them from the society. Instructions on how to order up to five obits at one time are provided. There is no fee for this service.

Burial Databases for Two Cemeteries in Jacksonville, Illinois Available Online

 The city of Jacksonville, Illinois owns the Diamond Grove Cemetery and East Cemetery. Burial databases for both cemeteries are available online. Then can be searched by name, date interred, and grave location. Extended information for entries can include dates of birth and death, as well as servicing funeral home and place of death.

Both cemeteries were established in the mid 1800s.
