DNA Basics III (Ancestry.com DNA). By looking at DNA test results through the lens of one of the most popular testing companies, class participants will be able to apply what they have learned in Basics I and II to their understanding of their own test results at Ancestry.com.  This class reviews the tools and resources available through Ancestry DNA.  While Basics I & II are recommended, they are not required prior to taking this class. Northville Cemetery in Northville, Indiana Has Records Available Online.

 The landing page will give you the option of searching by name or key words as well as the option to browse by marker number or by an alphabetized list of names. The records you find by browsing are connected by hot link to the results that a name search would result in...so using either tool will get you to the same place.

The hit list will show you a photo of the primary headstone as will as immediately surrounding headstones. All headstones are transcribed.

Three Ashland, Oregon Cemetery Records Online

 The public works department of Ashland, Oregon is responsible for the operation and maintenance of three cemeteries: Hargadine, Ashland, and Mountain View.

The landing page gives you general background and links to each of the three cemeteries. Clicking on a cemetery name will expand to a gravesite locator for that cemetery.

At the top of the landing page you can also use a cemetery viewer that will show the cemetery location for your search results. If a photo of the tombstone is available, it will be presented.

Includes a discussion of the process followed to establish a homestead on public domain land, and an understanding of the method of legally surveying and describing the land.
