Thanks to the Frankfort, Illinois Area Historical Society, a searchable obituary index is available online. On the landing page you will find a search box to enter the name (first, middle, last) you are interested in. Before you dive into searching, however, take a moment to scroll down the page for more interesting information. Once you select your individual of choice from the hit list that is generated, you will be presented with information extracted from the obit.
Copies of the actual obit are not available online, but you can order them from the society. Instructions on how to order up to five obits at one time are provided. There is no fee for this service.
