Searchable Scottish Indexes Available Online

The landing page offers you a search box encompassing all of the genealogy collections on the site, which are considerable.

As the title indicates, you are working with indexes. If you want the records you can purchase them.

You have the option of searching any of the indexes individually. Click on the "Record Sets" tab at the top of the landing page to access them. The holdings cover a lot of ground such as records on mental health, paternity, criminals, birth/death/marriage, and more.

"Genealogy a la Carte" a Rich Source of Montreal Point of View Resources

Thanks to Gail Dever for this Blog focusing mostly on the Canadian genealogy community. In Gail's words:

"Genealogy à la carte is a daily blog about genealogy news, resources, and issues facing the genealogy community across Canada and, from time to time, in the United States and elsewhere around the world — all written from a Montréal point de vue."

Before you get lost in the scores of research links shown on the landing page, take a moment to explore the "About" tab and the "Genealogy Research Toolbox" tab. The landing page I have given you focuses on Quebec/New-France, but that is only one of the topics in the Toolbox.
