DNA Research Based on Artifact Testing

Blaine Bettinger, writing in his Blog The Genetic Genealogist, gives us an interesting research development to consider in his article titled "Testing Artifacts to Obtain DNA Evidence for Genealogical Research." 

In Blaine's words, "If we can obtain and reliably identify DNA from deceased ancestors, relatives, or other individuals, we might be able to enrich our genealogical research." This is a thought-provoking article published in 2018 which points to the possibility of expanded DNA research opportunities.
