"We want to ensure the safety of all Society members and participants. Therefore, we have elected to have our monthly meetings and lectures held via the ZOOM video / audio conferencing application for the remainder of the 2020 year. ZOOM has truly been a blessing for so many of us, allowing us to keep in touch with family and friends, and also enabling business activities to be conducted on-line. It can be used on a desktop or laptop computer, a cellphone, or i-Pad and it’s very user-friendly.
"We will hold the September Society session via ZOOM on Wednesday, September 16. Please note, there is no charge to attend the meeting and we invite you to join us!
"The meeting and presentation will be hosted by our president, Debbe Hagner. The topics will be “A Basic Overview of Roots Magic,” and “Top Genealogy Research Websites.” Debbe will share guidelines about using Roots Magic and what is on the horizon with the software. Many of us have been using the COVID-19 down time to work on our genealogy, so knowing the best sites to utilize for your research – both free and subscription sites – will enable you to get the “best bang for your buck."
