PGS Events for the Week of 10-15 February 2020

Monday, 10-Feb-20 at 1:00 PM--FamilySearch Family Tree Introduction. The class will demonstrate how to build a family tree using the free FamilySearch.org.  Most importantly it will show how to deal with incorrect information in a shared environment and encourage family contacts. Tuesday, 11-Feb-20 at 6:00 PM--Family Tree Maker Part 5 A detailed explanation and demonstration of the many features of this most popular genealogy database program. Hahn, Local History Room, Largo Library.
Thursday, 13-Feb-20 at 1:00 PM--Irish Genealogy Introduction Part 2. This class will be a brief review of Class 1, and cover the timelines of Ireland's history, emigration, and major records. A step-by-step approach to tracing your ancestors through maps, and online records. Suggested: bring your ancestor(s) name(s), approximate date of birth, and approximate year of immigration. (Recommended: Class 1 and U.S. records search of your ancestor). Padgett, Local History Room, Largo Library.
Saturday, 15-Feb-20 at 10:00 AM--Computers in Genealogy. Question and answer session on the use of computers in genealogy research and record keeping. Bryan, Jenkins B, Largo Library.
