Using Google Custom Search in Your Research

Genealogist Randy Majors gives us a tool to construct a custom Google search to use when searching the web for ancestors. This custom search results in a focused hit  list. It builds the search based on your input, so you don't have to know the details of building a search, the tool does it for you.

You can limit your search to marriages, births, or deaths; or run a full Google search. You can also choose to show sample search results as you type to view the effects of alternate name spellings, etc.

Immediately below the search box is a list of quick tips for using the tool.
