PGS Events for the Week of 20-25 April 2020

We have two online programs this week--both on Saturday.
Pinellas Genealogy Society invites you to an online meeting of the PGS Roots Magic Users Group. This is a question-and-answer format that focuses on users of the Roots Magic genealogy software, their questions and issues.
The date and time are April 25, 2020 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
To join the Zoom Meeting, simply follow this URL for the 25 April event:
If you are prompted for a password, enter 2020. Plan to log in a couple of minutes early so we can start at 10 am with minimal interruption.
NOTE: We are using the Zoom online meeting capability to do this. A video app will be installed if this is the first time you have used Zoom. If you are using a desktop or laptop computer, that is all you need. You will have to respond to three pop-ups during your login: "open zoom," "join with video" (optional), and "join with computer audio."
You will have to wait until the host lets you into the meeting. When you are admitted, be patient as others join in, and then the host will start the meeting.
You can also join with a mobile device such as a cell phone or tablet. You must first download the Zoom Cloud App. Then at the appointed time to join the meeting, enter the following 9-digit meeting ID number when prompted:  774 843 754. Again, if prompted for a password, enter 2020.

April 25 at 1:30 PM (this is sponsored by the Suncoast Genealogy Society, but it features one of our PGS presenters, so we listed it here)--You are invited to attend an online program sponsored by the Suncoast Genealogy Society via GoToMeeting. The program is Death Records and will focus on finding records to establish the death date of your deceased kinfolk. We will describe and demonstrate how and where to find many types of records and resources that will enable you to determine death dates. In addition to the commonly used records such as death certificates, tombstones, obituaries, death indexes, etc., you will discover some that you may not have considered. Presented by Bob Bryan from Pinellas Genealogy Society.

The meeting time is 1:30 to 3:30.  The link to the Suncoast Genealogy Meeting Room via GoToMeeting is https://bit.ly/3blSDfG.  Click this link now to verify that you can access the site. You can also click this link on Saturday, April 25 @ 1:30 PM to join the presentation. For help in using GoToMeeting please visit the SGS website at https://bit.ly/2XJlSFt.
