What It Means Geographically To Be "German"

Thanks to Camille Andrus, writing in the Blog Genealogy Gems, for this article on Defining "German." Those of you with German ancestors you have traced back to their country of origin know how confusing and frustrating that can be given the frequency that European country borders changed throughout time. This is a must-read for those of you starting your German ancestor research, and a good refresher for those of you who are more experienced.
