Over the past six months significant progress was made on the project of digitizing the Center's rare book collection. Most of the work is done and the digitized books are not part of the Center's CD-ROM collection.
All of the books are in pdf format and so can easily be read on any of the PCs in the library. The book titles are included in the library automated catalog and are also in the index binder located at the CD collection.
Getting the books digitized and saved to disc was the first step in the project. Future plans involve making the books available on line. When that happens, this blog will alert you.
